Lines For Milk Products Like Yoghurt With Fruit Taste (09/28/2006)
Specifications: Modern Milk Products Besides the traditional milk products, as pasteurised fresh milk, butter, cream, cheese etc many dairies developed modern milk products, which reached high rates of growth during the last years. In some countries sales of modern milk products increased tenfold. Modern milk products include a great variety of products, partly based on sour milk products, as quark and yoghurt, with fruits or herbs and spices. Milk-pudding, as chocolate- and vanilla pudding, as well as many cheese preparations or milk rice are a part of modern milk products and are available in the shelves of all supermarkets. Interesting new developed products are introduced to the market almost every week. The history of modern milk products started with dosing yoghurt with fruit preparations. In a further stage yoghurt was mixed with fruit preparation. This new stirred yoghurt with fruit with a very creamy consistency was the milk product with the highest sales volume. For the dairy industry it was most important that they got much better prices for these new products, than for the conventional milk products. Most of the modern milk products are so called convenience products. They are ready to be consumed as the little meal in between, in the office, on travel etc. Milk rice, with all its variations - with cinnamon, apple, cherry, chocolate etc. - is a real sales hit. All sort of puddings are popular with children, but also with mothers, as they make kitchen work easier. New types of spread cheese have been developed and are quite successful. The traditional spread cheese in triangles, wrapped in aluminium foil is substituted by quark - white fresh cheese - with the addition of herbs and spices, with cream or small parts of hard cheese( e. G. Feta ). Some fresh cheese preparations have a high content of fat, others have a very low fat content as a dietetic product. Modern milk products should have a prolonged shelf live, which can be reached only if all rules for room hygiene conditions are observed and the filling is made in sterilised plastic containers by hot- or aseptic filling.
