The SMM systems are designed to remove solid particles, as well as gases and water, by means of thermo-vacuum purification, from lubricant and electric isolation oils. These units are used for installation, maintenance and operation of oil-filled high-voltage equipment, hermetically sealed or otherwise. The equipment can have capacity up to 1150 kV (power transformers, high-voltage switchgear etc). Design and process description The SMM unit consists of oil heater, fine filter, oil pump, pre-filter, vacuum pump and vacuum drier, absorber, control cabinet, pipelines and valves. The main control circuit is interlocked with the pump drive control circuit, the control cabinet contains magnetic starter and a thermal regulator switch which controls and maintains temperature in desired range. Contaminated oil is fed through mesh filter in the oil gear pump pipeline to the oil heater. A heat conducting substance heats the oil to +55C - +65C. The heated oil then flows to the vacuum drier, where moisture is removed. Water vapor and gases are removed by the vacuum pump, and the dehydrated oil is pumped through the fine filter to a purified oil vessel. The SMM systems are a unique solution for any electicity-operating company. High mobility, advanced technological process and easy operation and upkeep make SMM series an outstanding tool for maintaining oil-filled power systems. This product uses the micro-porous materials as the absorption force of the solvent molecule or molecule cluster. When the industrial water gas passes through the absorption medium, the organic solvents can be stopped, so that the organic water gas can be purified. According to the principle of hot movement of molecule, heat is added to the absorbents from outside, which has enhanced the heat movement energy of absorbed molecule or molecule cluster. When the molecule heat movement force can not overcome the absorption force, the organic solvent molecule will fall apart from the absorbents, and the absorption medium can be regenerated. The states of organic solvents can be determined by the environmental temperature and pressure. The pressure that the organic solvents from the absorbents bear is lower or close to the saturated steam pressure under the corresponding temperature, which is in gas state. Its temperature can be reduced through condenser, and the saturated steam pressure under the corresponding temperature can be lowered too. The pressure in the system is higher than steam pressure of organic solvent, which is in liquid state. The mixture of solvent and condensed water flow to the separator, through adopting the separation principle of proportion difference and gravity of solvent and water, the organic solvent can be recycled from the separator and the condensed water can be discharged after air diffusion treatment.
