J51 series horizontal centrifugal casting machine has five kinds of models, which are J512,J513,J514,J516 and J518, It can produce sleeve castings, the diameter from φ50-800mm, the maximum length is 800mm.It is made up of four parts, which are Host, electric control system, water cooling system and safety protection cover.
The host consists of the base, turntable, adjustable-speed motor, bearing pedestal, main axis, driving gear and ejector system. Host is the core component of cantilever centrifugal casting machine, which makes the turntable rotate. It can realize the centrifugal casting. The mold is fixed on the turnplate. The main axle is stepless speed regulation so that the equipment can be able to meet technical requirements of casting with different diameter. Hydraulic ejector mechanism comprises hydraulic unit, ejector oil cylinder and ejector rod. The ejector oil cylinder drives the ejector rod put out of the casting. The ejector rod is in the middle of main axis, The cooling system includes two parts. The one is mold and casting cooling, the other is main shaft bearing cooling. In order to improve the work environment, the water of mold and casting cooling system will be recycling by channel. AC variable frequency motor drives the mold turntable rotate. It has widely speed range. The main axis is stepless speed regulation so that the equipment can be able to meet technical requirements of casting with different diameter. The control unit makes up with PLC, HMI touch screen, Variable-frequency drive, control cabinet and low voltage electrical components. Equipped with safety protection cover it ensures safety in production.

1 Cantilever centrifugal casting machine
Cantilever centrifugal casting machine is the core part. On the rotary working platform there are eight host machines which are regular distribution. Converter motor drives the main axis rotate with belt. The main axis makes mold rotate and then complete the centrifugal casting. The mold is fixed on the turnplate. Speed of mainshaft can realize stepless speed regulation so that the equipment can be able to fulfill technical requirements of casting with different diameter. For the sake of safety in production, every machine equips safety protection cover.
2 The rotary working platform
The rotary working platform is the key of eight-stations cylinder sleeve centrifugal casting machine. Servomotor drives slewing ring bearing by gear drive so that the rotary working platform rotates. Swinging action has accurate positioning by servomotor control. The rotary working platform rotates intermittently. Pause after each 45 ° then complete their action at each station,and then rotate to the next station. When working platform turn a circle , a process of centrifugal casting can be completed . According to the technological parameters of each station, The pause time and rotating speed can be set and accurately controlled.
3 Cleaning device
Cleaning device can realize the cleaning by cleaning brush within the scope of the product specification. Pipe die is cleaned by cleaning rod with reciprocating movement.The cleaning brush is replaceable Within the scope of the workplace.
4 Automatic spraying device
Automatic spraying device can move accurately by servo. In order to meet the requirements of the production process, the spraying pole move and spray the mold cavity automatically.
5 Automatic pouring device
Automatic pouring device consist of pouring ladle, automatic weighing device (the accuracy of 100g, reaction time is less than 0.2S), Ladle tilting device, pouring basin and moving vehicle. The molten metal which is in the pouring ladle is detected by automatic weighing device and displayed in the big screen. When the molten metal reaches the setting weight, it will stop adding. Molten metal is poured into the mold through the Ladle,which is driven by variable frequency motor. After pouringï¼Œthe pouring car is back to the furnace front position where is pouring molten iron. Wait for the next pouring. The speed of pouring ladle tilting can be adjusted according to the process requirements.
6 Pipe pulling and removing cover device
On the pipe pulling station, It completes two actions which are removing cover and pulling pipe. This device is made up of two parts, one is removing cover .the other is pipe pulling. All actions are automatical.
7 Mold cooling system
All the eight centrifugal casting machines equip cooling channel. The axial mold can be cooled uniformly by water throughout the process. Each cooling nozzle can be adjusted manually in order to control the cooling flow.
8 Mold temperature measuring device
There are three stations for cooling,which equip temperature measuring device for mold.The temperature of middle mold can be detected real time.At the same time the temperature is displayed on the touch screen.
9 Electrical control system
The PLC is the control unit. The display unit is touch screen which can set process parameters and store no less than 20 casting process parameters.Control system has two kinds of options to choose manual and automatic, which can be switched according to the requirements. When adjusting equipment we can choice the manual program, When regular production we can choice automatic program. Each host machine can be switched on/off line in the work process.

1 High-speed Centrifugal Casting Machine
Smooth operation of pipe die and speed is the key factor which influences the quality of products. So there is high requirement of smooth operation. Under high speed the radial run-out of pipe die is smaller, the wall thickness of cylinder liner is more uniform and the structure property is stronger. The machine is constructed with 4 riding wheels. There is a hardening treatment and ground finish to the roller surface. The host machine adopt AC frequency control motor + high performance vector control frequency inverter, which drive the 4 riding wheels rotate by v-belt. It ensures the accurate speed control. Pipe die stop quickly by regenerative braking system. It improves manufacturing efficiency.
2 Accurate position of auxiliary equipment
Cleaning, spraying and pulling devices are assembled on a mobile platform. Through the mobile platform alternate position, the three auxiliary’s position can be switched. The mobile platform, spraying and pulling device are driven by servo, so they have accurate position, meet the strict technical requirements also. At the same time shorten the action time and improve the working efficiency.
3 Excellent quality of spraying
Pipe die’s inner coating reduce the impact of liquid metal and peak temperature of pipe die. It also increase the friction of pipe die with liquid metal, the casting is easy to be pulled out from pipe die. So it increases useful life. Spraying rod is driven by servo control. It makes moving smoothly and position adjustable. So it ensures the uniformity of coating layer. The movement of spraying rod can be divided into three sections, in which section the speed and migration length is adjustable. It will match speed and pressure of pipe die. So it can meet the various requirements of complex spraying technology.
4 Real-time monitor and water cooling
Die temperature has a significant impact on the quality of cylinder liner especially metallographic structure and hardness. If die temperature is too high the coating is non-uniform. The quality of cylinder liner’s surface can’t guarantee and shorten the pipe die’s useful life. If die temperature is too low the coating can’t dry completely at pouring time. Bubble is not easy to precipitate before pouring completely. When molten iron meets the wet coasting, It make cylinder sleeve have the casting flaw such as white cast and air hole. Infra-red device detects the outside surface’s temperature of mold real-time and display the temperature on the HMI screen. Cooling jet is uniform distribution on the pipe die axial direction. According to the set of cooling time parameter, the pipe die’s temperature control within the appropriate process by spraying water to the outside surface of pipe die.
5 Reliable pulling device
Paw-type pulling device use servo+ pneumatic control. It will pull out the cylinder liner from its mold quickly and stably. The pulling device’s position and speed can be adjusted.
6 Casting handling institutions
Handling institutions use servo control. It will put the liner to the roller conveyer automatically. Cylinder liner which is pulled out is sent to the conveyer belt automatically. The process is very smooth.
7 Automatic pouring and accurate molten iron weighing
Automatic pouring device make up with pouring car and rotated type casting ladle. Pouring car can pour for two hosts with time-sharing. The pouring speed of casting ladle can be adjusted. Pouring car equip molten iron automatic weighing device. It ensures the consistency of the cylinder liner’s weight. The weight of molten iron can be displayed on big screen also can be recorded and printed.
8 High efficient, safety, stable and flexible electric system
Control system use PLC as control unit and HMI as monitoring system. It has perfect over current and overload safeguard procedures.
