C9 aromatic hydrocarbon resin is a petroleum by-product of pyrolysis C9 fraction which is produced by pre-treatment, polymerization and distillation processes. It is not a high polymer but a low polymer molecular weight between 300-3000.

A. Paints Industry: In paint industry mainly use the high softening point of C9 aromatic hydrocarbon resin which can increase the gloss of paint and improve the adhesion, the hardness and the resistance ability of ac id and alkali.
B. Tire and Rubber Industry:
Natural rubber particles, and little affect on rubber vulcanization. Adding in rubber and tires, C9 aromatic hydrocarbon resin can increase the adhesion and the reinforcement and can also play as softener.
C. Adhesives Industry:
C9 aromatic hydrocarbon resin has good adhesion, added in the process of producing adhesives and pressure-sensitive adhesives can improve the adhesive bond strength, acid resistance, alkali resistance and water resistance, and also can reduce production costs effectively.
D. Ink Industry:
In ink industry, mainly use the high softening point of C9 aromatic hydrocarbon resin which can reach the effect of show color, quick-drying and brightening and improve printing performance, etc.

Gum rosin is made of natural resin, its general formula is C20H30020.
Gum rosin also called colophony, is a solid form of resin obtained from pines and some other plants, mostly conifers, produced by heating fresh liquid resin to vaporize the volatile liquid terpene components. It is semi-transparent and varies in color from yellow to black. At room temperature rosin is brittle, but it melts at stove-top temperatures. It chiefly consists of different resin acids, especially abietic acid.
Gum rosin is an important raw material for the manufacture of adhesive, coating, inks, rubber, soaps, paper etc.

At present, there are three types of SaoSA resin for choice:

SaoSA UV-H: For laminated high strength shock resistant architectural glass and laminated hurricane resistant glass.
SaoSA UV-B: For laminated bulletproof glass.
Density is around 1.0; easily soluble in organic solvents such as benzene and toluene etc; insoluble in water; Appearance: granular solid, white or yellow, non-toxic, odorless, non-inflammable and non-explosive.
