Magic Th2 And ISDN Telephone Hybrids (12/27/2006)
Specifications: Avt offers two telephone hybrid systems, the magic th2 and the magic isdn telephone hybrid. Magic th2 is actually two hybrids in one as it supports either an isdn or a pots interface. It can be used as a dual hybrid in isdn mode or as a single hybrid in analogue mode. Two audio inputs and outputs that can be configured as analogue or digital(aes/ebu) audio interfaces are available. Analogue input/output levels are software adjustable and the digital interfaces have sepa-rate sample rate converters for input and out-put to adjust the audio clock to the isdn line clock. An echo canceller and automatic gain control are provided for each line input. Available options include dtmf tone recognition. Using the analogue pots telephone interface, the system operates as a single hybrid. When the isdn interface is used, two independent hybrids are available, one on each b chan-nel. Both callers' audio signals are available sepa-rately at two xlr connectors. Two different return signals can be fed in the reverse direction. Operation is via the keypad and the display. A normal telephone with keypad can be connected for call and pre talk with the caller. Magic isdn telephone hybrid basic system handles four calls and is expandable to handle 16 calls. In comparison to classic hy-brids, which can only switch one or two callers on air simultaneously, the system can digitally mix all in-coming calls and switch all callers on air simulta-neously. Due to digital mixing of all callers to a common audio output and the internal digitally generated n-1 signal for each individual caller, ex-cellent audio quality can be achieved and the external switching functions of mixing units minimised. Automatic gain control(agc) can be activated to guarantee high speech understandability. The basic system contains two s0 isdn interfaces, each having two b channels, allowing three callers be accepted simultaneously(or four if chan-nel number four is not used for call forwarding). Configuration is via the included windows configuration software. Control options include a magic key-pad, a ttl/relay interface or magic isdn telephone hybrid windows operator software which is optimised for touch screen use. Handset interfaces are provided on the basic system and on each slave unit. Available software options include magic screener and magic touch lan that allow the system to be remotely controlled over a lan. Hardware options include telephone handset, headset, tft touch screen monitor and a rack mounting industrial pc.
